Even as the stepping up of the war that the Ibadans are waging upon my life has gotten to an almost frustrating level for me, with the fanaticism with which they all keep attacking me with the disgusting stench of their farts and their faeces; last week Friday proved that this fanaticism is not limited to their demented dirt.
Last week Friday, I went to Ilesha for the burial ceremony of the father of a friend and a mentor. It was a ceremony that I could not afford to miss, what with the close-knit relationship that I and the friend share.
The ceremony went well, the sermon was well-given, the party that came after was jovial. As planned, I and the two jolly comrades that travelled to the friendly town together returned to Ibadan that very Friday. But before we left Ilesha, something struck my attention.
I have written often of how public address systems are often used in the Ibadan that I know as Ikadan, to denigrate, to abuse, and to insult me publicly on the streets of Ibadan. That was what was repeated on the streets of Ilesha last week Friday. The people of Ibadan (with the aid of faceless cowards that never reveal their names, but that consisted that day of a female voice and a male voice) stalked me all the way from Ibadan to the streets of Ilesha to denigrate, insult, and abuse; and to reveal parts of my privacy that belong only to the bedroom and the bathroom, to the public of Ilesha.
The people of Ilesha did not appear to fall for the antics of Ibadanland, however; judging from statements like “I am not going to look at an old man’s 'nudity' “ and “Why did the people of Ibadan offend this man to this extent?” that I overheard youths on the streets of Ilesha uttering. But last week Friday was when I realised that the people of Ibadan are indeed hell-bent on destroying that of my life that they are yet to in all its entirety destroy. That they are waging a campaign in all its entirety, that has no purpose but to ruin and wreak havoc on a man’s life is quite clear to me today.
But the people of Ibadan are most unfortunately for them mistaken in one aspect, today. Because they believe that I will one day have an interest in their land’s dreary politics, they’re all so keen on making sure that they ruin my name.
Ibadan! I am not interested in becoming your governor, or your senator, or your local government chairman, or anything of that sort!! So you just keep all your dirty skunks and swine away from me! Is that clear to your dementedly depraved dirt of disgustingly imbecilic minds?!
Thank you.
