The forest was shrinking, but the trees kept voting for the axe; for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood, he was one of them.
— Turkish proverb.
This is most apt.
Jesus warned his own of the wolves in sheep’s clothing. He also told his own to be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves.
It boils down to the same thing. An axe said to be made of wood. The wolf said to be sheep. The serpent said to be dove. What Jesus warned his followers of. What Jesus and his followers are.
I have on occasion warned those that are my own of the axe that often comes with the facade of being wood. Most especially in the world of homosexuality, the average gay has absolutely nothing to do with the homosexual bent, but merely would he destroy the emasculated that has no other means of dousing the flames of his passion. This is most true in the world of homosexuality, but it is true in other worlds also — such as those of incels, and survivors of Psychiatry.
Quite a number of those that claim their pain have absolutely nothing to do with the anguish being theirs. All they are is the serpent, covered in clothings of doves.
